Welcome to Goldthwaite Middle School! We hope you have an opportunity to learn more about our campus on this website. The students and staff at Goldthwaite Middle School are committed to being the best middle school in Texas. This is possible through high expectations for students, strong instructional strategies from our teachers, effective communication with parents, and involvement with community stakeholders.
Goldthwaite Middle School has earned either one of the two highest ratings awarded by the Texas Education Agency since this campus opened during the 1999-2000 school year. Most recently, we earned an Exemplary rating in August 2010 and a Recognized rating in August 2011. We are very honored to receive these recognitions. It is well deserved based on the hard work of our students and staff. We will continue to strive to meet the high expectations of educating our students in 2011-2012.
In the extracurricular areas, we have won our UIL academic district championship every year since 2004, earned numerous awards in our music, art, and theater programs, and been highly competitive in our athletic program.
We are part of a great district that is focused on providing great experiences for our students in academics as well as extracurricular activities. GMS accepts the challenge to create an atmosphere that enriches learning, makes students feel welcome everyday, and create better citizens for our community.
Follow our progress on our website, our Facebook page (Goldthwaite Middle School), and our Twitter account (GWMiddleSchool) as we strive to achieve even higher goals for 2011-2012.
Thank you for your support of Goldthwaite Middle School!
